DESCRIPTION:
A small to medium deciduous shrub. Single sweetly scented, rich purple flowers are produced in large compact clusters in spring. Foliage is heart-shaped and lush green. A very attractive shrub for any garden.

COMMENTS:
Plant in full sun. Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE:
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
