DESCRIPTION
This deciduous shrub, which is small to medium in size, showcases strikingly beautiful purple-pink buds that unfurl to reveal charming soft mauve-blue, single flowers during the spring season.

2-3 metres x 1-2 metres.

SHAPE
Upright rounded shrub.

FOLIAGE
Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS
Soft mauve-blue single flowers. Strong fragrance.

COMMENTS
Plant in full sun, Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
