Syringa vulgaris Congo Purple Lilac

DESCRIPTION
This heirloom lilac features stunning, red-purple upright flower spikes with a sweet fragrance that bloom profusely during the mid-spring season. With its excellent performance as a shrub border or a single specimen, it is a highly recommended addition to any garden.

COMMENTS
Plant in full sun, in well drained soil. Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
