FEATURES
The Lombardy Poplar is a narrow, upright, fast growing tree to a height of 20 metres. It has heart shaped bright green leaves, darkening through Summer and turning golden in Autumn.

COMMENTS
Effective as a specimen tree or for avenue or driveway planting and often used for wind breaks. Tolerant to most soil types, air pollution and coastal conditions. Plant in well drained soil in full sun. Can have an invasive root system. Can be susceptible to poplar rust. This budded variety won't sucker.
TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
