DESCRIPTION
This small to medium-sized shrub boasts an abundance of exquisitely fragrant semi-double flowers that are initially dark mauve in bud, gradually opening to reveal a charming mauve-pink hue during the mid-spring season.

Upright growth habit.

FOLIAGE
Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS
Dark mauve in bud opening to mauve-pink. Strong frangrance.

COMMENTS
Plant in full sun. Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
