Laburnocytisus adamii

FEATURES
This curious and attractive tree has the growth habit and foliage of the Laburnum, but its remarkable feature is the variety of blooms. In late spring /early summer some branches bare the yellow racemes of the Laburnum, whilst others bear dense clusters of soft, pink racemes. To add to the color scheme occasional sprigs of the purple broom are produced.

SHAPE
Upright rounded.

FOLIAGE
Green.

FLOWERS
Yellow racemes and dense clusters of soft pink racemes as well as occasions sprigs of purple are produced in late spring/ early summer.

COMMENTS
A graft hybrid between Laburnum and Cytisus. Seeds are highly toxic and could be fatal if ingested.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
