DESCRIPTION
Welchii is a variegated leaf tree with oval foliage of unique green, cream and pink, turning red to purple in autumn. Red berries are produced over winter. Showy white bracts (flowers) are produced in spring. Slow growing deciduous tree with horizontal to upright branching. Ideal feature tree, best planted in partial shade.
TREE CARE
Plant in a well-drained and well-worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
