Upright Silver Birch

FEATURES
Also known as Pyramidalis Birch. Slender upright growing tree with an unusual growth habit, the branches intertwine with each other and grow inwards thus producing an erect habit. The leaves are green with a serrated edge, and change to yellow in autumn. This tree has the characteristic silver-white bark of the birch, which looks stunning through Winter.

FOLIAGE
Serrated green leaves, turning yellow in Autumn.

COMMENTS
An excellent specimen tree, or planted in groups to create a forest effect. Can also be used in parks and gardens and avenue planting.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
