Apple - Montys Surprise Malus domestica

DESCRIPTION
Monty's SurpriseĀ® (PBR) Is one of the larger dessert apples (up to 400grams) suitable for cooking as well as eating fresh. It has attractive deep red skin and firm yellow flesh, with a sweet, sharp taste. Grows to a height of 2.0 metres and a width of 1.5 metre.

MATURITY
March-April (Mid season).

COMMENTS
Monty's Surprise is grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock, it will grow to a height of 2.5 metres and a width of 2.0 metres which makes it great for smaller gardens, pots and tubs. With exceptionally high levels of antioxidants, it can be eaten as a preventative measure to reduce the incidence of disease in the human body.

TREE CARE
Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
