Aesculus indica Indian Horse Chestnut

FEATURES
Native to the Himalayas, the Indian Horse Chestnut is a tall, deciduous, shade tree. Upright panicles of pretty white flowers suffused with pink and yellow cover the canopy in early Summer, followed by inedible shiny brown chestnut-like fruit. Large attractive narrow green leaves turn yellow in Autumn. Flowers later than the common Horse Chestnut. An excellent shade tree for larger gardens and parks.

An excellent tree for larger gardens and parks, especially where a fast growing shade tree is required.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
