FEATURES
A deciduous, bushy Japanese maple, with highly ornamental red- purple foliage. Elegant, horizontal branching habit makes this plant interesting even during winter months. It produces small red, winged seeds in mid Spring to early Summer. Autumn foliage is a brilliant crimson red.

The Bloodgood Japanese maple is one of the most popular Japanese maple tree cultivars. It likes sun but can profit from a bit of light shade. An excellent choice for night lighting.

TREE CARE
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
